Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the LaughShot iOS app ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Information We Collect
The App does not collect, over-request, or upload your personal information.
- No accounts, contact details, or identity data are collected.
- No device identifiers, ad identifiers, or location data are collected.
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs are used.
- When you choose a video for analysis, the App temporarily processes face-related data from video frames on device, including whether a face is present, face count, face bounding box position, and expression-related numeric signals derived from facial landmarks, such as mouth openness, smile level, eye openness, brow raise, facial asymmetry, and head tilt.
- The App does not collect face templates, facial geometry profiles, or any biometric database used to identify a specific person, and it does not attempt to determine who the person is.
How We Use Information
All processing happens locally on your device to:
- Select videos from your Photos library for analysis.
- Detect faces in video frames and estimate whether a face is centered and prominent in order to choose better moments for a Live Photo cover.
- Estimate expression intensity or emotion tendency from facial landmarks on device, such as laughter, surprise, goofy expression, or crying, solely to rank and filter candidate highlights.
- Generate and save Live Photos to your Photos library.
Sharing
We do not share, sell, or disclose your face data or video content to any third parties. The App contains no ads or analytics and does not send face data to developer servers, cloud services, or third-party SDKs.
Storage & Security
Processed and generated content stays on your device or in your Photos library. The App does not upload or store content in the cloud. Face detection results, facial landmarks, and expression analysis results exist only temporarily in on-device memory during analysis for the current ranking session; after analysis finishes, the app is closed, or the task is cancelled, the App does not separately retain that face data. Only the Live Photo output that you choose to save is written to your Photos library.
Face Data
Our app may use face detection or facial analysis features to process images or videos.
We do NOT collect, store, or retain any face data. All face-related processing is performed locally on the user's device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We do not use face data to identify individuals, and we do not share any face data with third parties.
- Types of face data: face presence and count, face bounding box position, facial landmark availability, and expression or pose signals computed from landmarks.
- Purpose of use: to help the App find better moments in a video for Live Photo generation and rank them by expression intensity, subject prominence, and visual quality.
- Sharing: not shared with any third party and not used for advertising, profiling, tracking, or identity recognition.
- Storage location: processed locally on the user's device only; not uploaded to servers and not stored in developer-controlled cloud services.
- Retention period: retained only temporarily in device memory during a single analysis session and not kept by the App after analysis completes, the App is closed, or the task is cancelled.
Your Rights
You can revoke Photos access at any time in iOS Settings or delete generated content.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Permissions
- Photos Read Access: to pick videos for analysis.
- Photos Write Access: to save generated Live Photos.

- 本应用不会采集用于识别特定个人身份的人脸模板、面部几何档案或面部比对库，也不会尝试识别用户是谁。
信息使用方式
所有处理均在您的设备本地完成，用于：
- 从您的照片库中选择视频进行分析。
- 检测视频帧中的人脸，并判断人脸是否位于画面中央、是否清晰可见，以帮助挑选更适合作为 Live Photo 封面的瞬间。
- 基于面部关键点在设备本地估算表情强度或情绪倾向（例如笑、惊讶、搞怪、哭泣等），仅用于对视频片段进行排序和筛选。
- 生成并保存 Live Photo 到照片库。
信息共享
我们不会与任何第三方共享、出售或披露您的面部数据或视频内容。应用不包含广告或第三方统计，也不会将面部数据发送到开发者服务器、云服务或第三方 SDK。
存储与安全
处理与生成的内容保存在您的设备或照片库中，应用不上传或云端存储任何内容。人脸检测结果、面部关键点和表情分析结果仅在分析过程中于设备内存中短暂存在，用于生成当前次排序结果；分析结束、应用关闭或任务取消后，这些面部数据不会被我们单独保留。只有您主动保存的 Live Photo 成品会写入您的照片库。
面部数据说明
本应用可能会使用人脸检测或面部分析功能来处理图像或视频。
我们不会收集、存储或保留任何面部数据。所有面部相关处理均在用户设备本地完成，不会传输到我们的服务器。

- 保留期限：面部数据仅在单次分析会话期间临时存在于设备内存中，分析完成、应用关闭或任务取消后即不再由本应用保留。
您的权利
您可以在系统设置中随时关闭照片访问权限或删除生成的内容。
儿童隐私
我们不会主动收集任何儿童个人信息。
权限说明
- 照片读取权限：用于从照片库中选择视频进行分析。
- 照片写入权限：用于将生成的 Live Photo 保存到照片库。
